ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FOR REPLACEMENT PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $40,000 FROM ST. CROIX RECREATION FOR SWAN PARK
Background
Swan Park playground equipment is 21 years old and is in need of replacement. The cost of the playground with installation, and wood fibar will be $40,000. The funds for this playground will come from the 2018 CIF Interest Fund the City Council approved on February 1 of this year. This is the final year for this program the City Council originally adopted back in 2014.
Proposals were submitted by three different playground vendors who were all given the same parameters which included; playground equipment, wood fibar with liner, and installation with a budget of $40,000.
The Park Board has reviewed the proposed plan and is recommending it to City Council.
Recommendation
By motion, accept the proposal for replacement playground equipment in the amount not to exceed $40,000 from St. Croix Recreation for Swan Park.
