RECEIVE PETITION AND ORDER PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT FOR OUTLOT A, AMEN CORNER SECOND ADDITION, VACATION NO. V18-04

 

Background

A petition received April 6, 2018, was submitted to the City by Bruce Langager, Amen Corner Homeowners Association, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements for re-platting into single-family residential properties.  The applicant represents 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 6th day of April 2018, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement of Outlot A, Amen Corner Second Addition; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 17th day of May, 2018 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
