Background

A petition received April 6, 2018, was submitted to the City by Bruce Langager, Amen Corner Homeowners Association, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements for re-platting into single-family residential properties.  The homeowners association and adjacent property owners have approved the vacation.  The Engineering Department has reviewed this request and concurs with the vacation.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 6th day of April 2018, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement of Outlot A, Amen Corner Second Addition; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the required public hearing notices were published and mailed, and the public hearing was held on the 17th day of May, 2018, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The vacation of drainage and utility easement at Outlot A, Amen Corner Second Addition is hereby approved as described:

 

                     Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 7, Block 2, said plat of AMEN CORNER SECOND ADDITION; thence North 10 degrees 31 minutes 12 seconds East (assumed bearing) along the northerly extension of the westerly line of said Lot 7 a distance of 27.39 feet; thence South 82 degrees 32 minutes 26 seconds East 51.70 feet to the westerly line of Lot 6, said Block 2; thence South 10 degrees 21 minutes 26 seconds East long said westerly line 31.17 feet to the northerly line of said Lot 7; thence North 80 degrees 25 minutes 02 seconds West 62.74 feet to the point of beginning.
