Patrick J. Corrigan
WHEREAS, the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department is the largest volunteer fire department in Anoka and Ramsey Counties and second largest in the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, it is the privilege of Blaine citizens to recognize the public service of Patrick J. Corrigan who joined the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department on December 1, 1990, as a volunteer firefighter; and
WHEREAS, Patrick was a key member of the Fire Department and during his tenure, served as Firefighter, Public Educator, and
WHEREAS, Patrick was certified at the Firefighter I level in 1999, Firefighter II level in 2008 First Responder level in 1999 and
WHEREAS, Firefighter Corrigan completed numerous specialized training courses and seminars about various areas of firefighting, including Incident Command, Hazardous Material Awareness; and
WHEREAS, during his years of service, Patrick responded to more than 1,734 fire calls and attended over 714 weekly drills. He received several commendations in recognition of his commitment to fire protection and the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Blaine acknowledges, with sincere appreciation, the dedicated and loyal service of Firefighter Patrick Corrigan who retired on October 11, 2011 after 20 years of service to the citizens of our City.
