AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,406.00, PLUS $1,762.82 REPRESENTING 6.875% STATE OF MN SALES TAX, TOTALLING $30,168.82, TO PARADIGM SYSTEM SOLUTIONS, INC., FOR SEVEN NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS FOR SQUAD CARS.
Background
The requested action is pursuant to the Blaine City Charter section 6.05, which requires City Council approval of all purchases or contracts in excess of $10,000.
This represents the purchase of notebooks to replace 5 year old notebooks in the squad cars. This is following the City's standard 5 year technology replacement strategy. These items fall within the 2012 capital budget of $4,600 per notebook.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the payment to Paradigm System Solutions, Inc., for seven notebook computers.
