APPROVE DECLARATION OF RESTRICTIONS AND COVENANTS FOR PROJECT-SPECIFIC WETLAND REPLACEMENT AT LEXINGTON ATHLETIC COMPLEX, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 12-14
Background
As part of the Lexington Athletic Complex project the final field layout and site grading operations will disrupt and displace several existing wetlands. To offset the impacts to these existing wetlands the current plan is to create replacement wetlands onsite. In order to create these wetlands and receive credit the city is required to place restriction and covenant easements over the replacement wetlands.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the resolution.
Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act, Minnesota Statutes Section 103G.222, the City of Blaine is declaring restrictions and covenants for a wetland replacement plan on real property generally located within Section 12, Township 31 North, Range 23 West, County of Anoka; and
WHEREAS, the wetland replacement property is within the Lexington Athletic Complex site and is owned by the City of Blaine.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. The Declaration of Restrictions and Covenants for Project-Specific Wetland Replacement dated June 13, 2014 is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to sign the Declaration of Restrictions and Covenants.
