Background
Project No. 12-17 includes spot concrete curb and gutter replacement, spot concrete sidewalk replacement, storm sewer structures, asphalt surface, traffic control signage, striping, and appurtenant construction.
The estimated total cost of the project is as follows:

The total project cost indicated in the Feasibility Report was $797,850.00.
 
The Assessment Roll has been prepared consistent with the Feasibility Report.  Of the total cost, the amount to be assessed is $211,463.33.  The Public Utility Fund will contribute $2,906.00 for water and sewer improvements.  Municipal State Aid (MSA) contribution is $439,372.05.
 
Recommendation
By motion, approve the resolution.
 
Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14-187 passed by the Blaine City Council on October 2, 2014, the City Manager was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost for spot concrete curb and gutter replacement, spot concrete sidewalk replacement, storm sewer structures, asphalt surface, traffic control signage, striping, and appurtenant construction in the following described area:
 
Paul Parkway from Oak Park Boulevard to Ulysses Street
 
AND WHEREAS, the City Manager has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
 
1.      A hearing shall be held on the 6th day of November, 2014, in the Council Chambers at Blaine City Hall at 8:00 PM, or as near that time as possible, to pass upon such proposed assessment at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment.
 
2.      The City Manager shall give published and mailed notice of such hearing as required by law.
