TH 65 Improvement Project Update

Background
Recently there has been a great deal of activity and progress related to the TH65 improvement project:
• Public Advisory Committee and Local Officials were briefed on project status the evening of April 27
• A selected alternative, 1A, has been recommended
• A value engineering process is taking place this week, with participation by the various project partners
o Blaine hosted the value engineering exercise to prioritize and outline the needs of the corridor improvement. This exercise was held from May 2 to May 6 and included state, county, and local stakeholders.
• The city’s federal lobbing team has been working diligently to support the projects inclusion for directed/community project funding
Given this level of activity, workshop time has been established for Council to receive the most recent updates.
