BALL ROAD RETAIL - EAW DISCUSSION

Background

The City Council initiated the preparation of a discretionary EAW (Environmental Assessment Worksheet) at the February 21^st City Council meeting. The EAW has been prepared and while still considered a “DRAFT” is substantially complete. No other agencies have reviewed the document as of yet and so it is likely the document will undergo some change as it moves forward in the process.

Attached is the “DRAFT” EAW document. Staff will present the various chapters of the EAW at the workshop and have other supporting documents available. The workshop is an optional and preliminary meeting for the council to better understand the scope of the EAW and to ask questions prior to a final EAW review at a future City Council meeting.

As discussed previously, notice has been sent to the larger neighborhood to the south and east of the development. The public notice indicated that the May 9^th meeting was a workshop and not a public hearing.

Direction

No direction or action is requested at this time other than to respond to questions, comments and concerns of the City Council.
