COUNCIL DIRECTIVE AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION OF THREE WAY STOP SIGNS AT 116^TH AVENUE AND YANCY COURT

Background

Per Council direction, this Resolution authorizes installation of three way stop signs at 116^th Avenue and Yancy Court.  

Traffic counts at this location do not meet warrants in the Minnesota Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MMUTCD) for a multi-way stop.

Recommendation

By motion, approve the resolution.

Body

WHEREAS, City Ordinance requires a Council Resolution specifying the placement of regulatory signs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Blaine that regulatory signs are hereby authorized to be installed as follows:

1.      Stop sign on 116th Avenue NE (eastbound) at Yancy Court NE.

2.      Stop sign on 116th Avenue NE (westbound) at Yancy Court NE.

3.      Stop sign on Yancy Court NE at 116th Avenue NE.
