APPROVE TEMPORARY NURSERY SALES LICENSES
Background
Approve the Following Temporary Nursery Sales Licenses:
· Cub Foods South, 585 Northtown Drive NE
· Frattallone's Hardware, 10809 University Avenue NE
· K-Mart, 8949 University Avenue NE
These licenses will give the above-mentioned businesses the ability to sell garden and flowering plants in temporary greenhouses located in their parking lots.
In 1998, Ordinance 98-1719 was enacted to require a license fee and establish insurance requirements and a time limit in which to operate. The temporary nursery sales license is limited to a maximum of seventy-five (75) days per calendar year and the first day of set up begins the time clock. The applicants have submitted their application along with all necessary documentation required by City ordinance for a temporary nursery sales license. Each of the applicants has also submitted their $300 license fee and the required certificate of liability insurance.
