RECEIVE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDER PUBLIC HEARING FOR 113TH AVENUE TRUNK SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 17-09
Background
The proposed project will introduce Sanitary Sewer to the area south of 113th Avenue roughly bordered between Quincy Street on the west and Buchanan Street on the east. The project area also includes commercial property adjacent to 109th Avenue between Able Street and Fillmore Street. Proposed improvements include trunk sanitary sewer and appurtenant construction.
The estimated cost of improvements is $580,642, which is proposed to be assessed over a ten-year period. This project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and will result in a benefit to the properties proposed to be assessed.

By motion, adopt the resolution.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 17-112 adopted on the 3rd day of August, 2017, by the Blaine City Council, a report has been prepared by the City of Blaine Engineering Department, with reference to the 113th Avenue trunk sanitary sewer improvements and this report received by the Council on the 2nd day of November, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. The Council will consider the improvement in accordance with the report finding the improvement necessary, cost-effective, and feasible, resulting in a benefit to the properties proposed to be assessed and will consider the assessment of benefiting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to the Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $580,642.
2. A Public Hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 7th day of December, 2017, at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall, and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
