APPROVE THE 2014 PAWNBROKER/SECONDHAND GOODS DEALER LICENSE RENEWAL.
Background
The Pawnbroker/Secondhand Goods Dealer License allowed by City code is renewable January 1, 2014. Staff has received a 2014 renewal application from John Cady, owner of We Pay More Pawn, located at 10543 University Avenue NE, Blaine.
The applicant has submitted all required documents in accordance with the City Code, including the annual license fee and a surety bond in the amount of $2,000. The Blaine Police Department have done a background investigation and found no information to prohibit the renewal of a Pawnbroker/Secondhand Goods Dealer License to We Pay More Pawn.
Recommendation
By motion, approve renewal of the 2014 Pawnbroker/Secondhand Goods Dealer License application.
