APPROVE A VENDING TRUCK LICENSE FOR EL GORDO PALETAS, MARIA SOSA, OWNER/OPERATOR, 124 113^TH SQUARE NE

Background

Maria Sosa, owner/operator of El Gordo Paletas, 124 113^th Square NE, has submitted an application for a vending truck license in order to sell ice cream.  She has deposited a $100 fee and all application materials to operate one vending truck within the City. 

The applicant has complied with code requirements relative to liability insurance and has shown proof of a current food handler’s license through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Dairy and Food Inspection Division. 

The Blaine Police Department has completed a background investigation and found nothing to prohibit the issuance of this license.  This vending license shall be effective August 4, 2016 through April 30, 2017.

Recommendation

By motion, approve the Vending Truck License for Maria Sosa for El Gordo Paletas.
