RATIFICATION OF LOCAL 340 (POLICE SERGEANTS) LABOR AGREEMENT FOR 2020-2022
Body
The City of Blaine and the Police Sergeants have reached agreement on the labor contract covering the three years beginning January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022.
1. Wage Adjustments of 3% for each of the years covered under the labor contract.
2. An annual increase of $50 per month per year in the City’s monthly contribution to the cafeteria plan.
3. Beginning in 2020, the Sergeants Union will accrue sick and vacation leave benefits as outlined in the City’s policy.
4. The City has agreed to increase the on-call compensation from $200 to $300 per month.
5. The City has agreed to remove the Administrative Sergeant from the uniform allowance list and replace the annual allowance to $750 per year.
6. Incidental technical and clean up language changes.
Recommendation
By motion, ratify the contract between the Police Sergeants Law Enforcement Labor Services Local 340 and the City of Blaine for calendar years 2020-2022.
