APPROVE 2014 CAPITAL EQUIPMENT PURCHASES
Background
Staff is requesting City Council approval for the purchase of capital equipment identified in the Capital Equipment Plan and budgeted for in 2014. All vehicles and equipment will be purchased from the State Cooperative Purchasing Program from various vendors. The initial purchase of many of the items is the first step in preparing the vehicles or equipment for use. The dump truck chassis and the box and plow equipment will be purchased from separate vendors and are identified below. The budgeted amount in the 2014 Capital Equipment Plan includes the initial purchase, accessories, and excise tax on the truck chassis.
