Title
SENIOR BUILDING MANAGEMENT RFP REVIEW
Background
This will be a continuation of the discussion which was started at the November 8, 2012 workshop.
On September 28, 2012, the request for RFP's was advertised for the management of the two city-owned senior buildings, Blaine Courts and Cloverleaf Courts as directed by council. The request was published in the Blaine/Spring Lake Park Life, the official city newspaper, on September 28th and October 5th editions. It was also sent out to nine (9) management firms in the metro area.
The request period closed at 4:30 pm on October 23, 2012. The City received four (4) proposals from the following companies:
- Avinity
- Durand & Associates
- Kingwood Management
- Shelter Corporation
Staff is currently reviewing and gathering additional information where needed in order to make reliable comparison of costs and services proposed. This information will be presented to Council the night of the workshop for discussion and to seek a Council recommendation as to who to award the contract.
