APPROVE CONTRACTS FOR LEGAL SERVICES
Background
Council has directed staff to draft and return for Council consideration two contracts for Legal services. The first contract will be for Civil Services with the Sweeney Law firm and the second is for Prosecution Services with Berglund and Berglund Ltd. and of Counsel Michael Scott. A request for proposals was conducted with 9 proposals received and 5 firms were selected for interviews. The contracts are for a 3 year period.
Recommendation
By motion, approve contracts for both civil and criminal prosecution and authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the contracts.
