Title
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE DEEDS FOR TAX FORFEITED PARCELS IN THE CITY OF BLAINE
Background
Anoka County has reviewed their files and notified us that there are several tax forfeited parcels that the City of Blaine indicated interest in acquiring but has not officially requested from the State of Minnesota. This resolution will formally request the Conditional Use Deed that will transfer the property to the City to be used for public purposes. The specific parcels are:
09-31-23-13-0049 and 09-31-23-24-0038 - two parcels adjacent to Jim Peterson Athletic Park, one has a retention pond on it and the other has a trail located on it.
17-31-23-13-0058 - A parcel located on Fillmore north of 117th where one of our sanitary sewer lift stations is located.
18-31-23-14-0008 & 0009 - Two parcels that are located in 113th Avenue right of way near Tyler Street.
By adopting the attached resolution the City can proceed to officially acquire these properties that we have previously indicated interest in.
Recommendation
Adopt Resolution No. Authorizing Application for Conditional Use Deeds for Tax Forfeited Parcels in the City of Blaine.

WHEREAS, The Blaine City Council has previously indicated interest in acquiring the tax forfeited parcels listed below to be used for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, This resolution is a required part of the process to acquire the tax forfeited parcels; and
WHEREAS, The tax forfeited parcels are being used or will be used for public purposes as required by a conditional use deed: and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Blaine City Council hereby authorizes the application for conditional use deeds for the following tax forfeited parcels:

18-31-23-14-0009
