2014 PURCHASE POLICE LONG GUNS
Background
In the adoption of the 2014 Capital Budget, Council appropriated the funding for certain pieces of equipment in the Capital Equipment Plan. Pursuant to the City Charter, Sec. 6.05, staff is now requesting City Council approval for the actual purchase of the long guns. These long guns and related accessories will be purchased from various vendors with the best pricing available. This will be year one of a two-year purchasing process. 2015 purchase will be the remaining 13 long guns to complete this program transition.
