Background

The City received a petition dated July 31, 2020 from Cory Lepper on behalf of Vine Hill Partners, requesting the vacation of drainage and utility easements on the west one-half of Lot 19 and the east one-half of Lot 20, Central Avenue Acres.  The vacation is necessary as the property is being re-platted as Alexander Woods.  The applicant represents 100% of the affected property abutting these easements.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 31st day of July 2020, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements in Central Avenue Acres; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 21st day of September, 2020 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
