ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS FROM BLAINE FESTIVAL COMMITTEE
Background
Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 349.213, the city is required to acknowledge the financial contributions of organizations conducting lawful gambling to the community. With regard to the statute, the City Council acknowledges the Blaine Festival Committee for charitable contributions in the amount of $20,000 to the City of Blaine Parks and Recreation department.
These donations have gone to help fund programs such as:
- Pumpkin Hunt
- Wargo Center Snow Day
- World Fest
- Family Fun Night
- Kids Triathlon
- Performances in the Park Kids Concert
Recommendation
By motion, acknowledge the donation by the Blaine Festival Committee. The city is grateful for this organization’s dedication and hard work in our community.
