RECEIVE PETITION AND ORDER PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT AT OUTLOT A, NAUMAN ACRES, VACATION NO. V17-08

 

Background

A petition dated December 19, 2017, was submitted to the City by Bud Dropps, representing Accent Enterprises, Inc. requesting vacation of a portion of a drainage and utility easement.  The right-of-way is no longer needed and will be combined with adjacent parcels for development.  The applicant represents 50% of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 19th day of December, 2017, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement at Outlot A, Nauman Acres; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easement for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 1st day of February, 2018 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
