Background
A petition date May 9, 2014, was submitted to the City by Mr. Ben Minks of 14015 Sunfish Lake Boulevard in Ramsey, Minnesota, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements and street right-of-way. This vacation is being requested to accommodate development within the plat of Harpers West. The property owner represents a majority of the affected property owners abutting this easement.

Recommendation
By motion, approve the Resolution.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 9th day of May 2014, requesting vacation of vacation of drainage and utility easements and street right-of-way to rededicate to accommodate development within the proposed preliminary plat and final plat of Harpers West; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of vacation of drainage and utility easements and street right-of-way for the property owner.
2. A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 8:00 p.m. on the 7th day of August, 2014, and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
