ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FOR HAPPY ACRES PARK BUILDING ROOF, SOFFIT, FASCIA REPLACEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000 FROM UP TOP CONSTRUCTION, INC
Background
The Park Board and City Council approved up to $40,000 for the replacement of Happy Acres roof, soffit, and fascia as part of the 2017 Capital Improvement Funds Plan at the end of 2016. In the spring of this year staff sent out RFPs to three different roofing companies to get bids for the replacement of Happy Acres Park Building roof, soffit, and fascia.
The conditions of the bid were as follows:
- Remove existing shingles, weather barrier, soffit, fascia, and plywood as needed.
- Replace roof with a dark brown steel panels with aluminum soffit and fascia.
- Pull all necessary permits
- Clean up all related debris
The three companies are listed below with their bids:
Central Roofing Company - $52,680
Sela Roofing - $35,595
Up Top Construction, Inc - $35,000
Recommendation
By motion, accept the proposal from Up Top Construction Inc. in the amount of $35,000 for replacement of Happy Acres Park Building roof, soffit, and fascia.
