Background
Project No. 12-01 includes a 1½ inch bituminous overlay, edge milling, and appurtenant construction on various city streets.  The total cost of the project is as follows:

The total project cost indicated in the Feasibility Report was $373,125.00.
 
Of the total cost, the amount to be assessed is $106,381.00.  City of Blaine Pavement Management Program Funds will contribute $187,002.11.

By motion, approve the resolution.

WHEREAS, a contract has been entered into for the following improvements: a 1½ inch bituminous overlay, edge milling and appurtenant construction in the following described area:
 
Isanti St: 129th Ave to 132nd Ln
Jenkins St: 129th Ln to 132nd Ln
Kenyon St: cul de sac south of 132nd Ave to 132nd Ln
Kenyon St: 129th Ave to 129th Ln
London St: 132nd Ave to 132nd Ln
London St: 131st Ave north to cul de sac
London St: 132nd Ln to City Limits
Mankato St: 132nd Ave to 132nd Ln
Nassau Ct: North of 132nd Ln
Owatonna Ct: East of Nassau Ct
129th Ln: Isanti St to Kenyon St
130th Ln: Isanti St to Radisson Rd
131st Ave: Jenkins St to London St
131st Ave: Hastings St to Isanti St
132nd Ave: Isanti St to Mankato St
132nd Ln: Isanti St to Jenkins St
132nd Ln: Kenyon St to Mankato St
132nd Ln: Mankato St to Nassau Ct
 
AND WHEREAS, the construction cost for such improvement is $259,350.64 and the expenses incurred in the making of said improvements amount to be $34,032.47 making the total cost $293,383.11.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
 
1.      The total cost of such improvement is hereby declared to be $293,383.11.
 
2.      The amount to be assessed is hereby declared to be $106,381.00.  City of Blaine Pavement Management Program Funds will contribute $187,002.11.
 
3.      The City Manager shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection.
