Background

A petition received June 27, 2018, was submitted to the City by Theresa Steichen, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement to allow for the construction of an unattached garage to the rear setback line.  The applicant represents 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation

By motion, adopt the Resolution.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 27th day of June 2018, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement of the Northern 5.00 Feet of the Southern 10.00 Feet and the Western 5.00 feet of the Eastern 10.00 feet of Lot 19, Block 4, Rice Creek Park Addition; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.

 

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:

 

1.                     The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of easements for the property owner.

 

2.                     A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 7:30 PM on the 16th day of August, 2018 and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
