AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $53,315.00 PLUS 6.875% STATE OF MN SALES TAX OF $733.08, TOTALING $54,048.08, TO NEW WORLD SYSTEMS, FOR ANNUAL SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE (SSMA) RENEWAL
Background
Council is asked to approve the above referenced contract pursuant to the Blaine City Charter section 6.05, which requires City Council approval of all purchases or contracts in excess of $10,000.
This annual software maintenance represents a 3% increase from 2012 as set out in the City's agreement with New World, and provides help desk support, software fixes, and regular software updates to the City Financial Management System.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the payment.
