APPROVE PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,128.00 TO C.S. MCCROSSAN CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR REALIGNMENT OF SANITARY SEWER ON 125TH AVENUE, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 09-15

Background

During the reconstruction of 125^th Avenue from Ulysses Street to University Avenue the contractor, C. S. McCrossan, was to extend casing pipe on the existing water main to the limits of the new expanded roadway.  While extending the casing, there was a conflict with the existing sanitary sewer line at the 125^th Avenue/Polk Street intersection.  To resolve the conflict between the sanitary sewer line and the water main casing, a realignment of a portion of the sanitary sewer was constructed.  The additional cost to realign the sanitary sewer was $15,128.00 and requires Council approval. This work was coordinated with the Public Works Department and the funding source is the Sanitary Sewer Utility Funds.

Recommendation

By motion, approve payment in the amount of $15,128.00 to C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. for realignment of sanitary sewer on 125th Avenue.
