Approve Temporary Nursery Sales Licenses
Executive Summary
Council is asked to approve the temporary nursery sales licenses listed below. These licenses will give the businesses the ability to sell garden and flowering plants in temporary greenhouses located in their parking lots.
Background
In 1998, Ordinance 98-1719 was enacted to require a license fee and establish insurance requirements and a time limit in which to operate temporary nurseries. The temporary nursery sales license is limited to a maximum of seventy-five (75) days per calendar year and the first day of set up begins the time clock. The applicants have submitted their applications along with all necessary documentation required by City ordinance for a temporary nursery sales license. Each of the applicants has also submitted their $400 license fee and the required certificate of liability insurance.
