Background
A petition dated July 17, 2015, was submitted to the City by David Larson requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements for Larson Estates. This vacation is being requested to allow for a building expansion on the property. A new wetland delineation line has been approved by the Rice Creek Watershed District allowing for the vacation. The applicant is a single property owner who represents 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.
Recommendation
By motion, adopt the Resolution.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 17th day of July, 2015, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easements for Larson Estates; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of drainage and utility easements for the property owner.
2. A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 8:00 PM on the 17th day of September, 2015, and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
