Background
The Public Hearing was conducted on March 7, 2013. No questions from the public were received. The vacation of drainage and utility easements is being requested in order to build a new home across both lots. The applicant is a single property owner who represents 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.
Ordinance No. 13-2261 was introduced for first reading at the March 7, 2013 Council meeting and is presented at this time for adoption.

THE CITY OF BLAINE DOES ORDAIN: Chapter 201 is adopted as an Ordinance of the City of Blaine to read: (Added portions are underscored and deleted portions are shown in brackets with overstrike.)
Chapter 201 - Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easements
201.01 - A 10.00 foot strip of land over, under and across the following described property:
Lots 7 and 8, all in Block 2, THE SANCTUARY EIGHTH ADDITION, Anoka County, Minnesota.
The centerline of said strip of land is described as commencing at the southeast corner of said Lot 8; thence North 16 degrees 39 minutes 37 seconds East (assumed bearing) along the easterly line of said Lot 8 a distance of 10.05 feet to the point of beginning of the centerline of said strip; thence continuing North 16 degrees 39 minutes 37 seconds East a distance of 175.86 feet and said centerline there terminating.
201.02 - Said vacation has been made after Notice of Public Hearing in conformance with Minnesota Statutes and pursuant to Chapter 12, Section 12.06, of the City Charter of the City of Blaine.
