Title
COMMUNITY CENTER SURVEY RESULTS
Background
In 2014 the City Council appointed a Community Center Task Force made up of city residents to look at the possibility of building a community center in Blaine. One of the tasks that the task force undertook was to do a survey on the interest of Blaine residents on a community center.
The mail survey was done this spring and ANA Associates, the firm who developed and administered the survey, will present the results of the survey and answer questions.
The original goal for returned surveys was 300 out of the original 1,000 that were mailed. The survey ended up with 386 returned surveys so the task force was very happy with the resident's participation rate.
The task force is now in the process of getting proposals from consultants firms to assist in putting together a concept and cost estimate of a community center, in anticipation of doing another survey that will have a more specific proposal.
