Title
AUTHORIZE TEMPORARY REMOVAL OF PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON 91ST AVENUE, 92ND AVENUE, 92ND LANE AND BALTIMORE STREET TO ACCOMMODATE LETTERMEN SPORTS TENT SALES ON JUNE 14 - 17 AND AUGUST 2 - 5, 2012

Background
The City of Blaine received a request on April 3, 2012 from Katelyn LaVine, Executive Assistant for Lettermen Sports, requesting the temporary removal of parking restrictions on 91st Avenue, 92nd Avenue, 92nd Lane and Baltimore Street in order to allow parking on those streets from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., June 14 - 17 and August 2 - 5, 2012.  Lettermen Sports is hosting a Tent Sale those two weekends and expects a need for additional parking to accommodate their customers.  City Council authorization is required for the temporary lifting of those parking restrictions.  Over the past six years, City Council has authorized the temporary lifting of restrictions for similar events in Industrial/Commercial areas for Harley Davidson and Unique Body & Paint, Inc.

Recommendation
By motion, authorize the temporary removal of parking restrictions on the 92nd Avenue cul-de-sac east of Baltimore, 91st Avenue and 92nd Lane between Baltimore and Davenport Streets, and Baltimore Street between 91st Avenue and 92nd Lane, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., June 14 - 17 and August 2 - 5, 2012.
