APPROVE 2014 WELL MAINTENANCE
Background
This year's well maintenance project involves wells, 11 and 13. These wells were removed from the casings and inspection was performed to determine the most cost effective means of rehabilitation.
Staff solicited quotes from well contractors. The quotes for wells 11 and 13 are listed below.

Staff is recommending award of the low quotes for each well to Bergerson-Caswell.
Sand will be removed from well #13 and possibly 11. The amount of sand removal is based on the original development and therefore is an estimate. Staff is requesting a 15% contingency be authorized on both wells, for any additional sand removal beyond the quoted amount.
Recommendation
Approve by motion, the 2014 maintenance of wells 11 and 13 to Bergerson-Caswell for $31,445.00 and $54,875.00 respectfully, authorizing an additional 15% contingency on both wells for sand removal, funded from the Water Utility Fund.
