LOT 14, BLOCK 2, THE SANCTUARY EIGHTH ADDITION, VACATION NO. V12-01
Background
A petition dated February 24, 2012, was submitted to the City by Gerhard Larson of 3211-101st Avenue NE, Blaine, Minnesota requesting the vacation of a portion of a drainage and utility easement. This vacation is being requested because the drainage and utility easement covered a wetland that was filled and mitigated as a part of The Sanctuary 8th plat in 2006. The applicant is a single property owner who represents 100% of the affected property abutting this easement.

Recommendation
By motion, approve the Resolution
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition dated the 24th day of February, 2012, requesting vacation of drainage and utility easement for Lot 14, Block 2, The Sanctuary Eighth Addition; and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reviewed the petition and recommends that the City Council hold a Public Hearing on the requested vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Blaine as follows:
1. The Council will consider the petitioned vacation of drainage and utility easement for the property owner.
2. A Public Hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation at 8:00 p.m. on the 19th day of April, 2012, and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and vacation as required by law.
