Title

UPDATED POLLING PLACE DESIGNATIONS FOR THE 2018 STATE PRIMARY AND STATE GENERAL ELECTION

Background

Council adopted Resolution 17-178 designating polling place locations for 2018.  Since then Brookhall at 11930 Central Avenue NE has informed staff that they are unable to serve as a polling location for Precinct 3-7.  While the Resolution authorized staff to designate replacement polling place locations in the event one becomes unavailable for use staff wanted to inform Council of the change and provide Anoka and Ramsey Counties with an updated Resolution.  The attached map identifies all 24 polling locations, including the new location for Precinct 3-7 at MAS of MN, 12175 Aberdeen Street NE.  Notice of all new polling locations will be sent to every affected household prior to the Primary election in August.

Recommendation

Adopt the proposed resolution designating polling places for the 2018 State Primary and State General Election, including the new polling place location for Precinct 3-7, MAS of MN, at 12175 Aberdeen Street NE.
