Approve 2023 Annual Business License Renewals
Executive Summary
Council is asked to approve the 2023 business license renewals. These licenses will allow establishments to sell tobacco products and provide services by license holders.
Background
Staff has received license renewals for the following license types, which are eligible for renewable January 1, 2023:
- Amusement Centers
- Garbage Haulers
- Massage Enterprise
- Massage Individual (approved administratively)
- Pawnbroker
- Tobacco
All City Code requirements have been met. Renewal fees will be paid and background checks completed prior to issuance of any license. The City Council has the authority to approve or deny any of these licenses for reasons outlined in City Code. Any outstanding renewals as of December 5 will be included on the December 19 Council agenda for consideration.
