Executive Summary
Council is asked to approve a new vending truck license. This license will allow the applicant to sell ice cream or similar treats from a mobile vending truck on city streets.
Background
Adnan Hasan of Dan Ice Cream submitted an online application for a vending truck license. All required documents have been submitted, including a certificate of insurance and the retail mobile food handlers license through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
The Blaine Police Department has completed a background investigation for Mr. Hasan and found nothing to prohibit issuance of the license. If approved, the vending license will be effective through April 30, 2022.
