Title
AUTHORIZE STAFF TO ENTER INTO A 5-YEAR SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH NEW WORLD SYSTEMS, INC.
Background
New World Systems, Inc. is the software provider for the City's financial management system (FMS.) The FMS includes all general ledger, budget, and accounting applications as well as payroll, human resources and utility billing applications. The agreement would be in effect from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2019. The first year cost represents a 3.5% increase over the previous year, and would cap increases at 5% annually thereafter.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the 5-year software maintenance agreement with New World Systems, Inc.
