Title
ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL FOR AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM FROM SUN SHOWER IRRIGATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,500 AT AURELIA PARK

Background
Aurelia Park is a highly used park with ball fields that are used for youth sports by many associations and the Parks and Recreation Department throughout the spring, summer and fall months.  The irrigation will improve the condition of the ball fields and the general park areas.   The funds for the irrigation system will come from the Capital Improvement Fund interest that Council approved for the improvement of mini and neighborhood parks in the amount of $200,000 a year over the next 5 years.

The low bid came from Sun Shower Irrigation in the amount of $42,500.  Staff is bringing this forward at this time to give Sun Shower Irrigation enough time to get the irrigation installation done yet this fall.

The Park Board reviewed the plans and has recommended them for City Council approval.  If approved, irrigation installation will be completed by October of this year.

Recommendation
By Motion, accept the proposal for an irrigation system in the amount of $42,500 from Sun Shower Irrigation at Aurelia Park.
