ITEM: 12.4 ADMINISTRATION - Jean M. Keely, City Engineer
Title
APPROVE PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON THE EAST SIDE OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE (CSAH 51) FROM 109TH AVENUE (CSAH 12) TO 125TH AVENUE (CSAH 14)
Background
Anoka County will be reconstructing University Avenue (CSAH 51) from 109th Avenue (CSAH 12) to 125th Avenue (CSAH 14) in the summer of 2014. The proposed improvements do not provide areas for parking on University Avenue, therefore parking restrictions are required to receive State Aid approval of the construction plans. Even though the current layout of University Avenue does not allow for parking, records do not indicate that parking restrictions have ever been approved on the east (Blaine) side of the road.
Installation of regulatory parking restriction signs requires authorization by the City Council. The proposed Council action approves parking restrictions on the east side of University Avenue from 109th Avenue to 125th Avenue.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the resolution.

1. Parking restrictions are hereby authorized to be installed on the East Side of University Avenue (CSAH 51) from 109th Avenue (CSAH 12) to 125th Avenue (CSAH 14).
