COMPLETE STREET INFORMATION

Background
One of the items the City Council did not get to during the annual retreat was a presentation on Complete Streets.  Complete Streets is a MNDOT program that requires MNDOT to consider all types (modes) of transportation when they look at any project.  The idea is to at least consider all other types of transportation such as trails, sidewalks, bus lanes in a coordinated manner when doing projects.

It is not a requirement for cities but cities are strongly encouraged by MNDOT to look at Complete Streets criteria.  Attached is a power point that explains the complete streets program.

Recommendation
Presentation is for informational purposes only.
