2013 PURCHASE POLICE SQUAD SET-UP
Background
In the 2013 budget, the City Council approved the purchase and full buildup of three marked squad cars. The buildup includes lights, equipment console, computer docking station, decals, labor and other essentials. The total cost for the completed buildup of these three vehicles is $34,097.98 ($11,464.67, $11,884.64, $10,748.67). Adequate funding for the full buildup of the vehicles exists within appropriated funds in the Capital Equipment Fund. Staff is requesting Council approval for payment of the three invoices pursuant to Section 6.05 of the Blaine City Charter which requires Council approval for payments or contracts exceeding $10,000.
Recommendation
By Motion, approve the payment of $34,097.98 to Streicher's for the buildup of the police squad cars.
