Background
The Engineering Department has requested and received proposals from TKDA and Barr Engineering for design and construction services of electrical control panels for Lift Stations No. 12 and 13. New pumps and generators for both lift stations have already been authorized by the City Council. The proposal from TKDA is estimated at $14,550. The proposal from Barr Engineering is estimated at $13,100. Plans and specifications will be prepared and the project bid this summer for fall 2014 work.

Quotes have been checked and tabulated and Barr Engineering Co. submitted the lowest responsible quote. The Engineering Department has worked previously with Barr Engineering Co. and recommends that the City Council accept the quote from Barr Engineering Co. to perform the work.
Recommendation
By motion, authorize City Manager to accept the quote from Barr Engineering Co. in the amount of $13,100.
