APPROVE A CIRCUS/CARNIVAL LICENSE FOR
GOPHER STATE EXPOSITIONS AT NORTHTOWN MALL

Background
Randy Arthur Forcier, owner of Gopher State Expositions, Inc., has submitted an application to hold a carnival at Northtown Mall May 22nd through May 26th and May 29th through June 1, 2014. The applicant will not be running the carnival May 27th and May 28th.
The applicant has deposited with the City a $900 license fee, a certificate of liability insurance naming the City as an additional insured, and all other application materials. A background check has been completed by the Police Department and no problems or complaints are on file that would prohibit the issuance of a license. An inspection will be completed by the Deputy Fire Marshal during carnival set-up prior to release of the license.
Recommendation
By motion, approve the carnival license for Gopher State Expositions at Northtown Mall, May 22nd thru May 26th and May 29th thru June 1, 2014 from noon until 11:00 p.m.
