The City of Blaine and the police sergeants have reached agreement on the following three-year contract for 2014 - 2016.
1. Wages

Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) has been added as a market rate adjustment to the two-percent (2%) increase for 2015.
2. We agreed to increase the City's monthly contribution to the cafeteria plan for the plan year 2014 by $30, making the monthly amount $990. We agreed to increase the City's monthly contribution to the cafeteria plan for 2015 by $30, which will make the monthly contribution $1,020. A reopener will occur at yearend 2015 in order to discuss the City's contribution for 2016.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
By motion, ratify the Police Sergeants Contract between the Law Enforcement Labor Services Local 340 and the City of Blaine for calendar years 2014 - 2016.
