AUTHORIZE EXTENDED WORK HOURS FROM 10 PM TO 7 AM FOR STORM SEWER RECONSTRUCTION ACROSS THE WEST LEG OF BALL ROAD AT LEXINGTON AVENUE
Background
The general contractor on the Ball Road Reconstruction Project (Weis Builders) has requested an extension to the City of Blaine normal working hours (7 AM to 10 PM, Monday through Saturday) so they can conduct construction beyond those hours to accommodate off peak business hours to the local businesses.
The extended hours will provide an opportunity for construction to occur at off peak business hours where work can be done with significantly less traffic present and less disruption to local businesses.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Council, by motion, authorize modified work hours for one day in July for Weis Builders and its subcontractors on the Ball Road Reconstruction Project.
