AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF TEMPORARY SPEED HUMPS IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,000
Background
After some recent discussions regarding traffic calming and traffic management on local streets the City Council asked staff to look at the use of temporary speed humps as a traffic calming tool. This motion would purchase two temporary speed humps for $6,000 each for a total of $12,000.
This was not budgeted in 2014, however the seal coating portion of the Pavement Management Program has a small balance that would cover this purchase.
Recommendation
By motion, authorize the purchase of two temporary speed humps for a total of $12,000.
