APPROVE CAPITAL VEHICLE PURCHASE FOR PARKS AND RECREATION VAN IN THE AMOUNT OF $31,999.10
Background
The Parks and Recreation staff received a State Contract price quote of $30,046.10 for a 2017 Chevrolet Express 3500 fifteen passenger van to replace the old white van. The city must also pay 6.5% sales tax on this vehicle at the time of getting it licensed. The total purchase price of the vehicle is $31,999.10. A Capital Improvement request for $32,000 was granted at the December 1, 2016 council meeting.
Recommendation
By motion, accept the price quote of $31,999.10 for a 2017 Chevrolet Express 3500 fifteen passenger van under the State vehicle contract.
